The One I Couldn't Control

The sun shines a bright patch onto the floor, upsetting the dust. A bird’s song floats in through the window. The painting of a picturesque romance sits against the bare wall, slightly askew.
The remnants of the past six hours lay strewn across the floor. A broken lamp shade, overturned furniture and an empty bottle; the pills sprinkled across the room like confetti.

She sits in the middle.

Cradling the empty bottle, she rocks back and forth. It had happened again; that feeling she couldnt control. Her eyes sting with previous tears and her whole body feels numb.

She had said sorry before, but this time, that wasnt enough. She had promised it wouldnt happen again and it had; there was no excuse for that.
“You cant make me go. I didnt mean to,” she whispers, not looking at him.
“I know…but you have to. You need help.”

Memories send shivers down my spine and I pinch myself to remind they are the past.
I watch the red pour out of me.
Revenge will come.
They will pay for my blood, with their blood.

Interesting, highly suggestive of a particular scenario…hmm, now how I can twist that?
