Finally, as I stepped around a blade of grass, I was forced to halt on a dime. Otherwise, I would have fallen into a river of water. There was no way that I could attempt to cross the river due to the strength of the current. Looking downstream there was no sign of any trees or other sorts of vegetation, only very tall grass. Looking upstream, I found out why the sounding of the water had been so very loud. I was at the base of a waterfall. The top of the waterfall disappeared into mists. I had no clue as to how far the water fell. I had not known that I was so close to a mountainous cliff because of the enclosing grass.
