The Art of Being a Jennifer

It’s not everyday that you don’t run into one of us. We are everywhere.

In your local department stores, in your schools, in your churches, even randomly on the streets.

You’ll know us by the name being called reprimandingly, “Jennifer!” At least three will turn toward the accusation, innocence pasted on our face, of course.

We may spell it differently, but we are one and the same.

Jennifer, Jenifer, Jeniffer, Gennifer, Genifer, Jynifer. Oh, you get the idea.

There is an art to being a Random Jen. Even an art to being a Jennifer itself.

Certain things are expected of us.

The aire of superiority. “Know it alls” some would say. Arrogant, from others.

Loners and trendsetters. Opionated and compensating. We are still categorically Jennifer.

We love chocolate and books.

We want friends and time alone.

We have specific goals and strive to meet them as long as it doesn’t interfere with our ‘procrastinatic’ ways.

We love making up new words.

And we all answer to one name.
