I should’ve been grumbling. I would’ve been as I was being ushered to the center of the room. So, not fair.

I crossed my arms, weird how they were starting to feel substantial again. Maybe a disappearance was close at hand. I closed my eyes as hard as I could. Concentrated. But, nope. Still here in the same spot. I kicked at the floor.

Woah! The dust actually moved! I wondered briefly if this had something to do with our visitor.

I turned abruptly, and before that priest could pull an out on me again, I marched to him. His back was turned and I put my hand on his shoulder.

I put my hand on his shoulder. He looked at me with so much surprise and disdain I could have melted. But I didn’t.

No wait. Where the heck was I now? I looked around and it was misty. More fog than mist, but I could feel it.

Now I am staring into the eyes of the priest again. My hand still (or back) on his shoulder.

His eyes narrowed and he grabbed my hand. “You, come with me.” He said. He said!!
