Something Wrong

The hallways are completely, absolutely, and totally crazy. The people in them are crazy, in particular.
Well, not you, I admitted to myself. I didn’t get crushes on crazy people.
It was funny that I was thinking of you just as we bumped into each other, you heading one way in the hall and me the other. Your mouth made a little “O” of surprise as you looked at me. It seemed to happen in slow motion—I pulled my eyes away from you and sped up.
But I could feel your eyes on the back of my head. I clapped a hand to my face in humiliation and bumped straight into Carley.
“Hey, Carles,” I muttered, trying to calm myself down.
“Hey, Emily,” she said, frowning. “You know…” she paused and fingered her bottom lip. “You have a lot of purple marker right here...”

Oh, my God.

LOL how embarrassing! I like the line “I didn’t get crushes on crazy people.” Of course not!
