Jimmy frowned and glanced at the bartender who just stared back and shrugged.

“I think we should get you to the hospital.” he said to her. She blanched and stood up so fast she knocked over the bar stool.

“No! I have to get to Cedar Street. Something… something is wrong. I feel it.” She started to bolt for the door.

“But what? What’s wrong?” he asked, grabbing her arm before she reached the door. “You can’t remember your own name. Maybe whatever or whoever did this to you drugged you or something and your hallucinating.” He was grasping at straws with that but her appearance and behavior was unsettling.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. When she opened them she looked at Jimmy, really looked at him as if the world was suddenly coming back into focus for her. “The last thing I remember is putting up Christmas decorations in…” her eyes glazed over for a moment. ”...I guess it was my home. I’m not sure.”

Jimmy stared at her.

“Christmas was over last week.”
