Kidnapped

Her eyelids fluttered open, catching a short glimpse of the pink dawn before sand filled them. She sat up, only to be shoved against the tree roughly. “Sit still, beauty, or I’ll cut your throat!” A hoarse voice whispered in her ear. Elenore was silent, she could feel the cold blade against her neck.

She struggled to open her eyes, tears streaming down her face. A figure, silhouetted by the rising sun, stooped over her, busy binding her hands. She sat completely still, tears continuing down her cheeks to land on the white sand, leaving little dark stains.

“Decided to take a nap out here, eh?” the person sneered, the voice could belong to either a man or woman. “Bad, bad little beauty…” It grinned to reveal two remaining teeth. Elenore stifled a scream as they hoisted her to her feet, bound her ankles. “Walk, beauty!” She cackled, leading her toward a run-down wagon. “Time to get home!”
