The Realization Sets In

Tony laughed at the look on her face. The horror, disbelief and realization all wrapped in one made for a very dramatic effect. Maybe not the exact impact she was trying to convey at this point, but dramatic nonetheless.

“Being Malkavian is not that bad. As long as you don’t develop an obsession with the sun,” he shook his head sadly. “I saw that happen once, so sad. We tried to keep the doors locked, but you forget one time and all you are left with is ash.”

He knelt in front of her as his words sank into her mind. Her jaw was slack and he searched in his peripheral for a box of tissue, he was afraid she’d begin drooling.

He had mentioned her at the last meeting, never knowing she would take the news this way. She had great potential and he knew she would be an asset. Heather was what many players called a Rules Lawyer. She knew the manuals by heart, and called others out on violations often.

He took her hand in his and sighed. Her stare pierced his eyes as he looked up at her.

“Ventrue?”
