“Well…” He paused, actually sounding a bit uncomfortable. “Would it completely weird you out if I told you I’m old enough that I courted your great-great-great grandmother before being Embraced?”

“I… I’m not sure. We’ll have to see how the rest of this conversation goes. So, tell me more about this. Have you been stalking my family?” She smirked, teasing him.

She is enjoying this _way too much,_ he thought, smiling to himself. “Well, I do have to admit, it’s part of the reason I set about trying to befriend you. You look an awful lot like her. Except around the eyes, but you said your mom’s mom was Filipina, right?”

“Right. So, what, is this some sort of unrequited love kind of deal? Cause you know I don’t…”

“Oh, no, no. Nothing like that at all.” He stopped, then sighed. “After my sire took me, I knew we couldn’t be together. I told her I had to leave, but that my family would always watch over her family. And I have always kept my word.” He looked at her, face deadly serious. “You’re in danger.”

ooohhhh, a twist! I love a great twist. I almost tossed in an obfuscate in the last sequel and decided against it. I thought a nagging phone would be more fun. Toreador can be annoying with the visions! :P
