Just moments after Abbie had been reunited with her own family Alexia knocked on her own house door. As the door opened she saw her sister.
“Alexia? Alexia! You’re home! Mom! Dad! Come here! Alexia is back!” Alexia’s sister yelled across the house.
From somewhere in the back of the house Alexia heard her mother yelling, “Alexia? She’s back?” And then Alexia heard the thumping of feet running through the house. A moment later, she found herself being smothered in her mother’s arms.
“Alexia, where have you been?” Her mother asked through tears.
“That night I went for a walk with Abbie we got lost. We ended up sleeping in a nearby cave, but then we couldn’t find our way out the next morning. We ended up climbing to the top of an opening in the cave and getting out through a hole in the top of it.” Alexia told her mom and sister.
“Well, are you hungery?” Asked her sister.
“No. We ate on the way back.” Alexia replied.
“Then lets get you a bath.” Said her mom. “Then you can sleep.”
