Morning

When I opened my eyes the next morning, I felt as if I hadn’t slept a wink since I sent myself to bed the night before.

I glanced over at the motel-issue clock. 8:03 am.

Time to get up, I suppose. I wiped my eyes as I got up from the bed.

As I stumbled to the bathroom, I pondered the absence of my morning glory. I shrugged it off to lack of sleep and relieved nature’s call.

I left the bathroom and walked to the fridge, all the ice was gone. Surely not all of it would’ve melted in 5 hours?

Oh well, even five hours later, it was still hot in this crappy motel.

Hot.

That got me thinking about Jenna Jr. from the night before. I suppose that then I should’ve been prepared for what I found on my doorknob.

As I reached to open the door to get more ice for the day, I found a pink, lacy thong hung on the doorknob.

And it sure as hell wasn’t mine.

Cute last line. I’m getting the idea it’s a bit of a racy series, but this piece was well written.

I love the ending. Really great setup. Really makes you wonder exactly what happened.
