Boy and the Box

Little Luke looked he waited and watched.
I wander what could be in the biggest blue box?
It rocked and rolled and rumbled inside.
It wiggled it whined he could barely believe.
What was in this big blue box that’s under our tree.
Little Luke laughed and then told a large lie.
His mother she asked, she demanded a reply.
Little Luke did you tamper or touch that blue box?
Little Luke twisted he turned and told her quite clear
No mommy I didn’t, I didn’t go nowhere near.
She smiled and reached roughly rubbing his head.
Open the big blue box his mom softly said.
Little Luke ran and ripped off the red bow.
A little pound puppy promptly pounced from the big box.
It lunged at Little Luke licking, laughing he said I love it a lot.
I will name this fine fellow, Fantastic Fred.
Little Luke tucked tight and Fantastic Fred cuddled and curled at his feet, waiting for Santa they both fell fast asleep.
Santa slipped an slid down the chimney that night leaving tons of toys for Little Lukes dizzy delight.
