Hurrah for my quirks. They make me unique. Pens quirk challenge

Oh boy, I hope I can fit this all in.
1. I read Pride and Prejudice once a year and it always begins on New Years Day while watching the Rose Bowl
2. I always sing in the car even if I don’t know the lyrics. In those cases, I mumble and finish words and phrases
3. I always make my bed before going to class even if I’m running late
4. I always use the name mechanical pencil on multiple choice exams.
5. Whenever “Good Eats” is on I watch it. I love Elton Brown
6. I always add an extra teaspoon of vanilla, and a teaspoon of almond extract to anything I am baking
7. I am very finicky on the way my blankets are on my bed, if they are twisted, I can’t sleep.
8. The neck-strap for my clarinet has to have the BG logo facing outward (all you music nerds on here know what I am talking about.)
9. I always play the same scale and arpeggios when I am beginning to practice.
10. I always have a watch on, and if I don’t I am uneasy all day
11. My planner has every day planned out to a T full of lists and errands to run.

  • from Jenunique:

Oh yes, #2 Definitely, except, I have a tendency to make up words and my oldest child looks at me funny, while the youngest, Jenson, who joins us occasionally here, breaks in with his own additions. And 7. My husband has been standing by the bedside at 2 or 3 am, hands on hips, while I “straighten the covers” so I can sleep. Not a pretty sight. ;) yet—effective.

  • from flute faerie:

Lol, about number 8, what type of clarinet do you play?? I play flute, but I still know what u mean. And as to # 9, when I’m not holding my flute, like in a store or something, I’m fingering the two octave B flat scale. I know, call me weird, lol.

  • from Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy:

I am primarily a Bb clarinetist, but I do play bass and Eb, occasionally I sub on Contrabass when it is needed.
Try switching scales each week—it would be a good way to learn all of your majors and minors. (geez, I am already a band director without the degree…)

  • from [pens&feathers]:

I totally agree with the second one, I do that all the time! My friends make fun of me for it.

  • from Kermitgorf:

    3&10 are so me.

  • from flute faerie:

cool! we have a contra alto but not a contra bass. it must b hard to keep switching scales.
