What Makes Me, Me [pens&feathers' quirky challenge]

These are my quirks, my charming idiosyncrasies that endear me (I hope) to my loved ones:

I don’t drive, don’t like to drive. My happiest time was when I spent a summer in Madrid, Barcelona and Paris, taking the metro all around those cities.

I teach because I secretly think it’s the true fountain of youth (being around kids all day helps keep me young—really!).

I laugh out loud when watching something funny on TV, even when I’m alone. This is true also when I’m reading something funny.

I can’t function at my best unless I’ve slept 8-10 hours, and I will happily sleep 12 hours straight on the rare occasion when I can afford such a luxury. And I pity the fool who wakes me. Seriously.

I love playing video games on my DS.

Hearing violins and really most stringed instruments makes me weepy. According to Bjork, it’s because the strings mimic the throbbing of our veins. Or something like that… But seriously, I love violins and cellos and I only wish I had taken violin lessons instead of piano.
