Magrathea

“Magrathea… a mouse world is the bastion of hope for Earth?? Disney World have too many cats?”, I jokingly asked.

“Yes.” Catfish replied as the hamsters scurried off.

One hundred thousand light years and twelve minutes earlier, on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy, a faint message in an ancient dialect was heard.

”.elp.. cook.. at..ck… need mil….”,

which, in the old dialect, translated as an unforgivable insult.

Fortunately, in modern-speak it translated as:

“Holy Cheese mice lords, we beg your forgiveness for this unsavory interruption of your lives but we are in desperate need of some milk here as our mouths are parched, we have no cheese, and our little pinkies are perishing.”.

The few humanoids on Magrathea wondered why the concern with pinkies as everyone knew you had to hold them up when drinking and social customs would be fulfilled. The mice on Magrathea, scared of heights, were somewhat upset with that suggestion though and convened to try to solve the dilemma.
