Poem #7
THE FLYING AUTUMN -
Scarlet and gold glimmer like gems
Mixed together in leafy hems
Glistening like raindrop dew
Autumn’s dress of colorful hue
Wings so primly glossed in light
Shining like stars in the night
Fluttering faultlessly forevermore
Letting her have the delight to soar
Golden strands entwined with leaves
Her heair streaming in foliage weaves
A coronet marking her important rank
Exquisite, to be frank
Autumn is a fairy to say the least
Not your average kind of beast
Whoosh! She flies on an upcoming draft
As the wind swallows her receding path
