To marry, or Not To Marry

Standing there in my white dress and my feet pressed in these painfull shoes, I looked into his eyes. I have never felt so much love coming from one person, and all that love was directed to me. I felt him squeeze my hand and he whispered, “I love you,Emma.” He loved me so much, and yet this all felt so wrong to me. Tuning the preacher out, a glanced over at my mom. Sitting in the pew behind her was my best friend. Jackson. He had helped me through my dad’s death and through college finals, and I was positive he knew me the best. He was my better half. Without him I wasn’t whole. I would be lost without him in my life. Would marrying Daniel change all that? She felt tears welling in her eyes. Of all days to be so torn. Did she marry the man that she knew loved her more than anything in the world? Or did she call it off in hopes of having a relationship with the man that kept her living? Torn between such a choice she fell to her knees, sobs escaping from her petite body.
“I can’t do this,” she whispered.
