When The Clock Strikes Midnight

“Your Majesty.” A servant came running into the party searching for his King. “Sir!”

“Yes what is it?” King Ben asked none to politly.

The servant learned close to the king and whispered something in his ear. The king slowly rose to his full height and called to his son. Blake strode quickly to his father. I arrived to father and son at the same time as Blake’s mother.

“Ladies.” The King nodded to both me and his wife. “If you’ll please excuse us.. There is some business to be taken care of.” With that the two left the party hurriedly.

“Do you think everything is alright?” I asked Blake’s mother.

“Yes.” She said, but I could see the worry in her eyes. Within moments of the the King and Prince’s disapearance, a loud rumble shook the castle walls. Queen Emily turned to me with a frighten expression. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the Thrones. By the time we had gotten there, all eyes were on us and the Queen had composed herself.

“Everyone. Stay calm!”

I glanced at my watch. 12:00
