While Adam was at work, Talyor started getting her studio set with her easel and supplies.

She thought with the beautiful view that she would paint the skyline, as it was so azure blue. She mixed her paints when the phone rang.

“Hey hon, I’ll be late tonight, don’t wait up”, her husband said, “love ya babe.”

He hung up so quickly she didn’t get a chance to say ‘love you too.’ She thought about what Rae, her lawyer neighbor said about Adam spending more time with ‘the Donald’.
Taylor acted to Rae like his overtime didn’t bother her. After all he had a high powered job in a new city, he had to prove himself.

But she was already starting to miss their life in Connecticut. The quietness, the togetherness they shared in his old job.

But this was an opportunity. She would say nothing to Adam about her misgivings.

The sky was an amazing color. Painting the New York City skyline will do me good she thought. And she started to paint.

  • from THX 0477:

Nice, quiet but somehow foreshadowing moment here. Why is working late always ominous? Is that what our society has come to?

  • from Blusparrow:

you’re right THX , it does seem like foreshadowing. I do see the conflict between them coming.
