From the Files of Ace Casecloser

Hello. I am Ace Casecloser. For those of you who do not know me, I am a kid detective. Sigh, I remember one sunny June day. That deceiving damsel, Cindy Rothle, always bothers me on these kinds of days. “Ace, I lost my glasses!” she burst into my office that day, her face red from the long run from her house to mine.
“Your glasses. Is that all? I’m afraid you can find them on your own,” I avoided looking her in the eyes.
“I can’t!” she started blubbering.
I hate it when girls do that.
“Well, where did you have them last?” I could tell that eased her pain.
“I accidentally dropped my cell phone in the dumpster today, I dived in and got it, then I walked to the market. That’s when I noticed they were missing.”
I sniffed the air. “I thought I smelled month-old bananas.”
“So will you help me?” she looked at me with that puppy stare.
I turned my back on her. “Mmmm…” I mumbled, then ran for it.
