All Alone

Sora sat down at her desk. It had been a long, hard day at school, and she didn’t enjoy it one single crappy bit. Thank God it was time for spring break.

“I don’t think I’d survive without Spring Break,” Sora looked at Sugar’s deep green eyes. Sugar mewed and cocked her head.
“Yeah, sure…”

Sugar shortly fell asleep.
“What a hard life you lead, Sugar,” Sora said, patting Sugar’s head. Her whiskers twitched in her sleep.

Sora sat outside, on the porch. She knew the sun’s rays were dying, because the temperature had dropped. Her foster mother always told her that the sunset around the hills where they lived was beautiful.

She wished, with all her heart, that she could see it. Sora felt the warmth die, and she knew that the sun had gone down completely.

A single, shining tear slid down from a milky eye and splashed upon the porch. She put her head against the the wooden pillar of the porch and closed her eyes.

Tears leaked from underneath her eyelids.
Soon, she fell asleep.
