Walk at night

I walked, smiling and shivering. Of course, I felt quite stupid. It was about, let’s say, 2:30 in the middle of the night, and here I was, trailing around in the middle of a cold forest miles away from where I was supposed to be, which was in the arms of my beloved husband, who was most likely snoring away in our warm bed.

Not that I didn’t want to be there, it was just…I sighed, unable to think it. The leaves crinkled softly under my boots, and I ran a hand through my long black hair.

Pregnancy. Not something you get used to, no matter how many times you go through it.
