Many people were left dazed by the appearance of the cities. Some angered. Everyone had questions. How did these cities appear overnight? Why here? Did they cause the flood, or just take advantage of it? None of these could be answered, especially since the cities were closed. The few attempts to contact the inhabitants, if there were any, had met with little success. Frustrated, more destructive techniques were used. One group tried to blast their way in, setting off explosives piled against the side of a dome. All they succeeded in doing was leaving a sizable crater in the dirt next to it, and starting the rain again. That’s when they appeared. The first sighting was more than a little peculiar. A single squid like creature was discovered at the base of a dome, flopping weakly. At least, we thought it was a creature, until it starting sparking and beeping.
