Oh, I see. You want to help me. Hear my story. All the details. Sure. Fine. I’ll tell you. Not like I’m going anywhere, right?

No, I don’t need anything. No! No coffee, all right?

I’ll tell you my story, but I don’t know how it will help me. I already know it. You already know it. But you want to hear it. I think you want it to help you, not me. Hear it directly from my mouth. Then maybe you’ll feel better. Maybe you think you’ll find a reason for what happened. You’ll be able to convince yourself you understand, because hey, you heard my story.

You’ll be able to say you tried. You tried to help. You did what you could. You sat with me and heard my story.

Fine. Here it is.

Good prequel. I get the feeling the narrator’s in a police station or some such place.
