Into the Darkness

Ok, so that was unexpected.
What?” I asked, like an idiot.
He smiled condescendingly, like he was talking to an idiot, “I said ‘Hello Fae,’” he repeated.
ok… Still nothing connecting in my brain. Well, nothing that makes sense, anyway.
“Where are my companions?” I asked. He smirked again, not needing to say anything else. “Oh,” I said shortly, realizing they were dead. The smell was beginning to get unbearable.
“Allow me to introduce myself,” the Vampire continued, “I am Davincent, and I am here to save you.”
Of all the things he’d said so far, this was probably the least expected. “Excuse me? Last time I checked I was running away from you.”
He chuckled, “You have been misinformed. It is us who wish you well, now we would prefer you come quietly, however, if need be…” he flashed me a pointed smile.
I suppressed a shudder, “Try me,” I challenged.
Suddenly I felt two cold hands grab me from behind as Davincent shot forward, and felt a sharp, burning pain in my throat.
Everything went black.
