I am Brit

I finally felt like I was really starting to get it when the librarian pushed her head through the door, looking annoyed. “The library is closing now,” she snapped, glaring at us.
Vaughn looked surprised, and glanced at his watch,”Oh yes, so it is,” he said mildly shoving his (several) large textbooks into his bursting backpack.
I picked up my math book and bag, glancing at the clock outside the tutoring room as I passed.I stopped, my mouth dropping open. It was 4:30. I’d been in my tutoring session with Vaughn for an hour and a half! That was longer than I’d ever spent on all my homework a night!Vaughn passed me, looking slightly embarrassed at my agape expression. “Sorry I kept you over,”he muttered, looking nervous.
Typical nerd. When he was explaining what the hey pithagoreean was he was all confidence, but come to any other conversation and it’s all embarrassment.
I found myself shrugging,”No problemo.”
He looked relieved, if awkward, and left the library quickly: shoulders hunched, eyes on his feet.
