Ficlets

Oops!

“Who’s side are you on, anyway?” I turned to look at the girl standing between me and my best friend. She had her hands on her hips and she had just told my best friend to stop yelling at me. Unfortunely, she was my best friends girl.
“Don’t yell at me,” she snapped. Her brown hair fell foward over her eyes, but she didn’t bother to remove it. The way that single strand danced infront of her smoldering eyes gave me shivers.
“You’re suppose to be my girl, Steph.”
“Whatever,” she said, rolling her eyes. “Can we go inside? It’s so hot out here?” She pulled at the top of her shirt, trying to allow air inside. She looked over at me, and I swear she winked. That’s it. I couln’t stand it any longer. I lunged at her, pulling her body close to mine. My lips locked onto hers, not letting go. But she wasn’t pulling away either. Her hands gripped me tight, daring me to try to break free. But her boy friend, my best friend, had other plans.
That will leave a mark.
