The Fellowship Ch.4

The plane shook violently, and several girls on the opposite side of the plane screamed in horror. I couldn’t see what’d happened, for a red light flashed toward the front of the plane prompting us to fasten our seat belts. I heard the sound of metal bending and tearing on the right side of the plane. I couldn’t make out anything outside the window because the plane shook so violently, but I could tell that we were going down rapidly. The sky was as clear as water last time I looked, so it couldn’t have been a storm.
I tried to think, but the violent trembling of the plane worsened, and screams of terror drowned out my thoughts as I heard the groan of metal tearing away from the plane. The shaking lessened to a tollerable jittering, followed by an ear-piercing siren. The plane began to tilt to the left slightly, and dove into a steeper angle towards the ground. I heard the flight attendant’s voice, desperate and barely audible above the siren.
“Keep your heads down!”
