How these things play out

Her name was Elizabeth Bradley. She was a few inches shorter then Alex, her hair was brown and drawn back in a sloppy ponytail, and her dark green eyes peered out from behind a pair of square framed glasses. She was a dancer, and had the body to back it up, physically everything about her screamed grace and poise.

Alex stared at her as he opened the door, thinking back randomly to how nervous he had been the first time they had gone on a date. It had been in the basement of the library, outside of a little ghetto café that was set up just at the bottom of the stairs. Alex brought his mind back to the present, and smiled at his lady.

“Hey scrubby butt!â€? she said as she pounced into his arms, wrapping hers around his neck and giving him a quick kiss on the lips. “Pretty miserable out, eh doll!â€? The electricity in her voice could have powered the library if the technology to harness it existed. ‘She’s probably high’, Alex found himself thinking. He didn’t care though, it wasn’t worth bringing up either.
