“Julie, youre blushing,” Emma repremanded me. “You always do that after you talk to Greg. Its so obvious you like him, I just cant believe he hasnt realized it yet. Youre so lucky Liz never sees you flirting with her boyfriend.”
“Hey, theyre on the verge of breaking up anyway, so hes practically fair game,” I muttered back. Ever since last August when I had first laid eyes on him, I knew we were meant to be together.
“It just doesnt seem like … you to do something like this. Flirting with another girls guy? You kno its wrong. Why do you keep doing it?”
“I dont know. I cant help it. I know it seems shallow and you probably think I havent considered Lizs feelings, but I have. I know she no longer likes him, and I heard from Jenny that shes gonna break up with him tomorrow.”
“Seriously? Oh, wow, hes going to take it really hard,” Emma looked unsure. “And make sure you take Gregs feelings into consideration too. He might not like you back.”
“Well, not yet. But hopefully he will.”
I’ll make sure of that.
