The Fellowship Ch.8

It was a fire, and for a moment i thought i was lying in my living room next to the fireplace. But I was terribly mistaken. Around the fire sat the majority of my friends, most of them looking at me.
“He’s awake! Oh my gosh, I was so worried.” I heard Brandi say.
I managed a faint smile, and touched my forehead, which was wrapped in cloth. Then I saw an unfamiliar face amongst my friends. Two actually. Two men, in their late thirties from the looks of it. Both were wearing animal skins and strands of leaves woven into clothing. One of them came to me and handed me a cup.
“Drink this, it’ll make you feel better.”
I did as told, and felt the tangy liquid fill my mouth with a sudden burst of color. I perked up, and my sinuses cleared themselves. I gave a quick shake of the head, and the man gave a harty laugh.
“Works every time.” he said, patting my back.
“Sorry sir, I don’t believe I recognize you from the airplane…” I said tiredly.
He nodded, “Yes, I watched you crash into the ocean yesterday.”
