Williamsburgh

I remember it well kids, I remember it like it was yesterday.
The year was 1926 I was 17 years of age. I was with my boyfriend, Ethan, we were having a cream soda in the pub.
I went home after that, once we finished our drinks. I got in a fight with my Father. “He’s too poor, I can’t have that in my family,” he said. But Ethan was going back to Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania. I tried to call him to plead for his aunt to let him stay here in Williamsburgh, New York. I heard a knock on the door. In the rain and the thunder, was Ethan, waiting for me to let him inside. I did. He marched right in and kissed me hard.
