Time Slip

Sora froze in her position, white eyes growing wide. There was a rustling sound, and suddenly, the doors to the room flung open, revealing a flustered maid.

“Lord Aysen, you shouldn’t get up yet!” she said, an accent thick in her voice.

It was a delayed reaction for Sora.

“Who?!” she yelled, and then clamped her hand over her mouth. The scene kept unfolding before her eyes.

Am I in a vision or something? Didn’t they hear me? she thought, possibilities rising in a frightening crescendo in her head.

A raspy, hoarse voice broke her train of thoughts.

“I need to get up.”

No matter how harsh the voice was, Sora recognized it.

How is this even possible?

“You cannot be up and about yet,” the maid snapped, and pushed a slim figure back into the bed.

“The effects ceased only a day ago; your strength is still small.”

There was silence as she tucked the person into bed. She hustled to the side of the bed and undid the drapes.
