Humanity

The voices were speaking again. They chimed like soft lullabies against my ear drums, all I could do was press my clammy palms to their soft exposed flesh in order to keep them out. It was sad attempt, I sat, howling in pain.
“Calm,” One word. It was whispered methodically, coarsing through my veins. I wanted so terribly to listen to this angel’s patriotic melody, but I couldn’t it hurt so terribly. It numbed me, seeping into my bones and killing them with out hassle, with a damning passion.
I am calm, My thoughts whispered, impassable, staying in my brain. All I could do was hug the end of my bed with a false sense of security seeping into my dying body.
“You are most certainly not calm, your body is erratic and movements more than ostentatious.” He cocked his head to the side, the same odd movements that got my body jittery and made my heart race with untold agony. Yet, somehow I didn’t find it odd that he was peeking into my mind, my inner most soul.
