Tayor Lee Dunn

Before she woke him up, she went back in her room to find a piece of paper and a pencil.
Mom,
I’m sorry for leaving you. But I needed to get out on my own. I’m doing just fine. I have a job at a newspaper shop that pays good and I’ve already made a friend who is helping with money too.
She stopped to smile at how little her mother would know about who Jack really was, but she continued. I’ve come back to take Taylor with me. He’s my child and I have a right to do so, and don’t try denying it would take a world off your shoulders. I love you mama,
Anna.

Tears almost welled up as she realized she probably wouldn’t be able to see or actually speak to her mother for years to come. She forced herself not to think about that. She grabbed a small blue suitcase from Taylor’s closet and stuffed it with as much of his clothes that would fit. She went ahead and put that suitcase outside the window. She came back to sit next to Taylor.
“Taylor, Taylor wake up honey.”
His eyes opened slowly.
“Mama?”
