A Jonas Brothers Summer: Part 7

After the party, I opened the front door to my house and surprisingly, my mother and father weren’t fighting. In fact, my father wasn’t even home. It was just mom laying on the couch rubbing her head as if she had a headache.
“Hi mom, I’m home,” I said as she sat up.
“Hi, honey, we need to talk,” she said in a worried tone. Tonight wasn’t the greatest night.
“What’s wrong? I asked as I sat down on the couch.
“Well, you know how your father and I haven’t been getting along?” I had no clue where this was going.
“Yeah,”.
“I’m just going to cut this short, we’re getting a divorce,”. My heart stopped and my jaw dropped. A divorce? This couldn’t be happening! They were meant to be! Or were they?
“What?” I said, tears coming to my eyes.
“Your father and I are getting a divorce, sorry,”. Tears started to run down my face.
“Why? How could you do this to me and Joey? Why? How could you?” I was acting as if it were all her fault. Was it? I was so confused. I ran upstairs and buried my head in my pillows. Wonderful.
