Keep Reading.

“Everything.”, she spoke with little words, but the words she chose had meaning.

Vic looked into her eyes, “Do you want to explain it to me?”

She took her finger and wiped her wet face, “Vic, I am.” She grabbed the journal, “Keep reading.”

They never really seemed to care. Or if they did I didn’t notice. In every aspect of my life I felt invisible. Home. School. Everything.

“Everything.”, Vic said looking at the journal. The word everything would never be as miniscule.

I tried to explain why I did it, and I just got lost in words. I wasn’t used to the attention. Being heard, and when they asked I couldn’t tell them. It was like a secret, something only I could understand.

“Is that why you wrote this? Because you couldn’t say it out loud?”, Vic said while lifting his head to see her.

“I wrote it because it was the only thing that would let me say it out loud. Saying something doesn’t exactly mean it has to make a sound.”

“Holly, you certainly are making a sound… I know, keep reading.”

“Right.”
