Sangsue- part 8

“So how did you come to exist? And what are you guys?” Oaikil laughed at me, teeth glinting in the semi-darkness, “It’s a virus, sort of, that makes us what we are. And you can call us sangsue.”
“A virus? How’s it carried?”
“Only through blood. Problem is, sometimes the virus reacts faster than we can eat and the infected joins us.”
“And about your hunger thing, why is it that you didn’t eat me before when I was here?”
“Because,” He looked away, “I wasn’t hungry.”
“And now?” I nervously asked.
“Let’s just say there was a reason why I led you deep inside this place.” My eyes got big in fright. Why didn’t I notice that? He smiled and I saw his sharp teeth again, the sharp teeth that could easily bury into my skin. I backed up only to soon be trapped aganist the wall. “I promise though Bree, I’ll try to have it hurt as little as possible. Maybe you’ll even become one of us.” He kept coming towards me, purple snake eyes glinting with hunger. That was when my hand brushed against something: a rock.
