My Apocalypse: Part One

As the day fades and nite joins misery,
pain takes the place of feigned ignorance.
Time passes stealthed among stolen seconds,
borrowed time, fate holds in my weathered hands.
Don’t speak your mind. Your lies are consumed.
You’ll never know the scars you left, nor the dreams you entombed.
You watched me fade to nothing, looking away near the end,
leaving only that which mistaken time can’t heal, and hate can’t tame.
Darling. wreck your havoc with my hope, but soon.
You’ll take these words engraved upon your tomb.
These broken souls you left in your wake,
in an effort to conquest a craving that could never sate,
these luminescent scars that will never fade,
along the seams of the heart they made.
Hold silent testimony basked in the moonlight of your betrayal.
A mistake that made your grave, penitence not given by denial.
Soon, you’ll see. Your vision clear from your painted day.
You may have taken many casualties, but mine, was not one with you to lay…..
