Freeze The Moment

“Isn’t this pefect?” Sam said with a sigh.
“I suppose.” May answered.
“What do you mean? ‘I suppose.’? It’s a gorgeous fall night with a full moon, a romantic pacnic by the lake, and me; your adoring lover.” Sam remarked.
“Ah yes. I had forgotten that I had my adoring lover with me! Now my night is perfect.” May said with a laugh. She nestled her head on Sam’s broad chest and let out a sigh of happiness.
A gust of cool autumn air rustled the cattails surrounding the lake. Some where far off, a coyote howled in the wind.
“If only we could stay like this forever.” May sighed.
“Yeah, if only.” Sam replied. “You know, everyone is always telling kids that senior year is the best. Your senior trip, the prom, graduation, but they never remind you that senior year is when you move away from everything and everyone that you’ve ever known. They always seem to leave that out.”
“I don’t want to leave Bridgewood High. I don’t want to leave my mom. I don’t want to leave you, Sam.”
“Me niether May.”
