Phone Call Before Coffee(part 8)

A warm glow of the morning sun streamed in through the cream curtains. I blinked open my eyes and pulled the covers off. My tired feet carried me to the kitchen. I Started the coffe pot and sat down to look at my scedule for today.
“Ballet class, Ballroom class, go shopping for party dress for Cousin’s birthday. . .” Ring! Ring! I nearly jumped out of my seat when the phone beside me rang.
“Hello?” I spoke softly in the phone.
“Morning hun,”
“Joseph?”
“I told you Chels, call me Joe, honestly! Anyway, you doing anything this morning?”
“Um, no”
“Awesome, I’m taking you out to Breakfast!” I slapped my hand against my forehead in desperation.
“Er, Jose-. . .Joe, I don’t really think we should. I mean, I like you . . .but as a friend okay?”
“Come on Chelsie, I love you. Doesn’t that matter to you?”
Suddenly the coffee pot whistled, making me groan.
“Look, er Joe I have to go. My days busy already, I don’t have time for this now!” I didn’t wait for a reply and hung up the phone.
