Elfish dreams part: 4

I suddenly stood up, afraid. I had never seen anything like it before and it was heading towards the island. Tutu protested again, squawking. I ignored her and climbed down the tree fluidly.

“Ellhan? Ellhan?” My voice carried through the woods as my feet ran effortlessly.

I soon found him sitting on a chair in front of our old hut. He was in his dreamy mood again.

“Ellhan?” I said and watched as his eyes refocused.

“Huh? What is it darl?” He said, thickly.

“There is a thing coming our way from the sea and I have no idea what it is because I’ve never seen anything like it before.” I said all that in one breath.

“Whoa, slow down! Where was this?”
I always liked how Ellhan took me seriously.

“I was sitting up on the tree and then I saw this thing on the water. I thought it might be a whale, but it’s so weird.. It looks like a cup with cloths on top.” I said.

I watched his face as his expression first became amused, then confused, then realisation, to horror.
