Residing Dreams (Chapter 35)

I clutched the stuffed animal that lay at the head of my bed.
It was a two-headed golden retriever named Elle and Daisy, which my father had gotton me for my seventh birthday.
That was two years before I received the heart locket.

I put my hand up to it, feeling the coldness of the gold on my palm. No matter what happened in life, some things would always stay the same.
In spite of myself, I walked over to my bookshelf and picked up my scrapbook.
Haphazardly, I flipped to the page which consisted of pictures of my father from Pleasantville School Spirit Day.

He looked so jubilant and cheery, not to mention content.
But as I studied the pictures more closely, I noticed something that I hadn’t before.
