somewhat not so good day

“Does this smell OK to you?” asked my little brother, Eddie as he shoved a cup of mysterious goop under my nose. “OH MY GAWD ! THAT IS WICKED NASTY !” I exclaimed as my sense of smell was overwhelmed with what appeared to be moldy milk.
Eddie and his two best friends ran off, hooting, toward their clubhouse in the woods. Grumbling, I rolled out of bed and went into the kitchen to see if I could find some lemons to take the nasty smell out of my nose. There were no lemons.
Right away, I knew this day was going to be a somewhat not so good day. There was a long list of chores that needed to be done around the house on the counter, left by my dear mother. Take out the garbage, do the dishes, vacuum all the carpets and rugs, do my laundry as well as Eddie’s, Swiffer the furniture. “Why doesn’t she just tell me to build a new house while she’s at it!?” I muttered out loud.
