Residing Dreams (Chapter 107)

So that was how I ended up at that big house. The first day, I collaped on the bed out of exhaustion and slept for three hours. Then, it was supper time, and I dined alone at the huge table downstairs. Save for a few bustling employees her and there, the only thing I could hear was my own chewing. The staff seemed nice; nice enough, but ultimately, they all were evidently tiresome, stuffy people. They were polar opposites to the warm, down to earth, deep, personal friends and aquaintences I knew back home. Yet the words that Ms. Ledezma said to me upon my arrival resided in my mind. “I’m sure you’ll be a ray of sunshine in one way or another,” she had said. Then, I remembered something that my father once told me. “God has a plan for everyone, Essie. You have to seek out His will and find out what He intended for you to do with the gifts He gave you. But instead of trying to fit His plans into your life, find a place for your life in His will.” I knew the valueable insights of my father would never perish.
