Here’s a pondering question: where do balloons go once you let them go? I mean, you do see them go up and up and up but they soon wink out of existence for you.

Perhaps this little balloons never stop. They fly higher and higher, through all layers of the atmosphere. That theory would be millions of balloons frozen in space. An odd picture no?

Another theory could be that they eventually run out of helium and slowly fall to the ground in another country. If that’s the case that means those balloons that people write wishes or secrets on?...Yeah someone will eventually read those.

I personally find the most outlandish idea the best. What if there was some patrol that collected all of the released balloons in the sky? For there to be some secret aviation team with giant nets that they use to collect the rebellious little things.

For now though we have no real clue on where they go. Meanwhile, I’m going to look into this “BCA”: Balloon Collecting Aviators.
