Autumn and Justin: Nervous Wreck

We pulled up my driveway slowly, he didn’t want to hit my dogs who ran beside the car, in front of it, behind, and I had to assure him that they would move; he wouldn’t hit them.

We sat for a minute inside. He turned off the engine. The silence was deafening, so I broke it.

“So! We’ve got some research, next we’ll have to write the report.”
“Yeah. And see a movie.”
I blushed. Although we had chosen the movie, we hadn’t discussed when we would see it.

“I have to work Friday night and Saturday night.” He said sadly.
“I have Youth Group Sunday night.” I shared.
“Where?”
“The church up on the hill at 25th and Davis.”
“I know it.”
The was a very awkward pause.
“What about Saturday morning? My Mom drives into town every Saturday morning to get groceries. She could drop me off.” His face brightened and he locked his eyes on mine.
“I have to be at work at 3. That would work.” He stated.
“I’ll have to ask Mom.”
“I’m coming with you.”

We got out of the car and approached my front door. I was a nervous wreck!
