Residing Dreams (Chapter 215)

Even so, I was selfish. I deemed that he should be almost completely mine, for I spent more time with him than anyone. I so badly yearned for somebody to love, just as my father had. Yet as I felt all of these emotions, I remembered something Dad had told me long ago. “If you love somebody, then you have to be willing to let them go. If it is true love, then they will come back to you.” When I recalled these words, I regained more faith in my dad. Nevertheless, to my dismay, I knew that I could not lean on one single person forever. After all, the melacholy anguish, pain, and gloom owned much of Casimir; perhaps more than he owned of himself. But that was changing. He agreed to go to church with me, and Sundays gave Casimir something to be thankful for. I believe that he found another incentive for happiness and determination in life through spirituality.
