Thirteen year old Isabelle Hiew did not easily believe. She did not believe in fairy tales or fantasies or her parents staying together. Isabelle was not a little girl. She told her parents that, and her teachers and her guidance counselor too. She did not act like a little girl. Isabelle always looked after herself, always followed the rules, always tried to ignore her parents fighting. Isabelle considered herself a mature young adult. And even though she was a constant student and a well behaved daughter everyone thought of her as a little girl. A baby. And Isabelle hated that.
