“Matt!” I cried, standing up. I hated to admit it, but my heart literally stopped at the sight of him. “What are you doing here?”

“I had to see you,” he replied sheepishly. “Cam, I love you.”

I nearly started crying. “I..uh- I love you too.”

Matt rushed up onto the stage. He pulled me towards him and I hugged him close, never wanting to let go. His embrace was warm and made me feel happy. After about a minute, I realized we were still on the air.

“Well, isn’t that sweet!” Cindy chirped in her ‘I’m wonderful’ voice.

“Yeah,” I said. “It is.”

“Well are you gonna interview here or what?” Someone in the audience called.

I laughed and continued hugging Matt. I had missed him and felt terrible about everything that had happened. I just wanted to leave things the way they were and bury the past.

“Come on you two!” Cindy chirped again. “It’s Sweeps week and I did this for the ratings.”

“Shut up, Cindy,” I said, leaning into kiss Matt. Let’s see her complain about ratings now.
